Moroccan artist and cultural worker based in Marrakech.

I’m primarily interested in image production.
I investigate projections and frictions of desire, imaginaries, and fantasies in both local and western contexts through curation, publishing, installations, and photography projects

My recent work, "Le Voyage du Phoenix," explores the use of photography, literature, and cinema as tools to distill the 20th century's regime of desire.

Beside my personal work, I regularely collaborate on artistic projects, I organise exhibitions, conversations, gatherings and am the editor of  Chergui journal.

In 2013, I founded LE 18 Marrakech, a multidisciplinary cultural space and art residency based in the medina of Marrakech that extends my long-term intention to question the forms and modalities of artistic production, research and mediation and their impact on situated environment.

I also have initiated in 2014 Dabaphoto, an annual programme on photography and image making in Morocco that is at its 8th edition.
